Sat 3 Nov Halloween pre-party drinks

This Saturday is the Babylon Halloween Party in Durban and you'll get VIP entry tickets (worth R100 each) if you come and have pre-party drinks with us at the Guesthouse 7-9pm on Saturday.

With Halloween falling mid-week between two weekends, we are having an extended Halloween tbis year. In the top photo guests Leoni and Nikki attended the Bent ladies Halloween Party at The Lounge on Friday while the boys enjoyed their scary evening there on Saturday. This Saturday 3 Nov it's Babylon Halloween fun in Durban with the hot dancers coming to stay at the Guesthouse and party with us at Sashas.

Our aeroplane also arrived back from it's 3 month anti-corrosion rebuild and respray and is now sporting rainbow colours and a new name "Dragon Warrior".

In the last photo our friends Marc and Lee who also bought a Sling aeroplane, wiith registration letters SAA, took delivery on Friday as well so it was a double celebration for us with our instructor Brad (second from left).
 

Durban for Halloween

There are going to be a week of parties in Durban not to be missed this Halloween..

Durban View Guesthouse was host the Bent ladies and guys party last night. Thanks Colette and Judith for organising. We rrally had a great time with the rooftop lights of Durban, the DJ banging it out below and plenty of girls and guys we had not seen before... drinking the house dry ha ha.

Guesthouse co-owner Llewellyn owns 2 SpecSavers optometry practices in Durban and every 2 years the franchised group treats their optometrists to an all-expenses paid conference - this time cruising the Mediterranean for a week from Barcelona, Spain, to Toulon and VillaFranche, France, then Florence, Rome and Naples, Italy before returning to Barcelona.

 

We had an awesome time crusing and were intrigued by the sex and phallic symbols in Pompei.. mmm, they knew what men wanted for sure, thousands of years ago. Plenty of signs of m2n sex too!

 

Thanks Ian for looking after the guesthouse and our guests while we had a short break; now we're back to welcome you to Durban. We really do compare well here with our standard of accommodation and certainly the weather compared to europe... and the hot surfer dudes ha ha.

Guesthouse braai

Always good to spend time chilling and we enjoyed a braai on Sunday with top (ha ha) Clifford, Anton and Coenraad, while Llewellyn and I did the braaiing.

Ayre Aviation's Instructors Larry and Warren (left) with mates and fellow pilot-students Marc, Llewellyn and Brad. Both Marc and Brad have their NPL licences, like mine and have both followed me in doing a conversion to the higher rated PPL licence.

Guesthouse co-owner Dave's birthday co-incided with Ayre Aviation's Awards evening, so it was a double celebration as Dave received his PPL pilot's Certificate and wings, followed by a braai with friends, family and his instructors.

The Babylon boys gave us quite a show last night. Awesome abs, hot dancing and great eye candy. All of our guests got free entry tickets to the event and we all crawled back between 3am and 5am... so was quite hectic, especially as we were up and Llewellyn baked a batch of savory muffins and we did breakfasts for the boys and our guests at 9am!
