New Gay Website - Gay Share

Former Durban boy Andy Wicks has just launched his new website aimed at the gay market. GayShare is an excellent site themed to Work, Live and Play gay in South Africa. It's an opportunity for gay business owners and event organisers to market themselves to the exclusively gay community in South Africa online. Well done Andy and your team for an excellent new addition to our community internet and business needs.

New gay resort Warmbaths

It is always great to find other exclusively gay guesthouses, lodges or retreats in South Africa and we gladly share links with them and you. Check out Manfields, an appropriately named new place in Warmbaths, about 80kms north of Pretoria.
Here is what owners Andre and Jaco say about their resort: "Wake up to most amazing sunrises and fill your lungs with the fresh, crisp and crystal clear bushveld air to get you going. Go for strolls in the lovely bushveld, relax in the lounge at the bar and make friends in the splash-pools. Watch the sunset from a splash pool with a cocktail in your hand or share your greatest stories around a crackling bonfire or just allow the flames to carry you into dreamland." Go for it guys, hope you do well!

Desert Safari anyone?

There are no deserts in Durban, but from deep in the Kalahari Desert in North West South Africa, here is something to make the sands even hotter and I had to share this hot guy with you... Dave

I want to grow young

I don't normally read spam emails, jokes, or download video clips... but this one from a rad blog Gay in SA did catch my eye and was worthy of passing on: Especially as this is my big birthday month.
I want to live my next life backwards:
You start out dead and get that out of the way.
Then you wake up in an old age home feeling better every day.
Then you get kicked out for being too healthy, enjoy your retirement and collect your pension.
Then when you start work, you buy a mansion on your first day.You work 40 years until you're too young to work.
You get ready for High School: drink alcohol, party, and you're generally promiscuous.
Then you go to primary school, you become a kid, you play, and you have no responsibilities.
Then you become a baby, and then... You spend your last 9 months floating peacefully in luxury, in spa-like conditions - central heating, room service on tap;
and then...You finish off as an orgasm.

Travellers in South Africa

We have been travellers in our country again. On Sun we went up with some of our guests from the Guesthouse as well as members of the Facebook group Gay Durban to visit the Howick Falls, about an hour west of Durban, then on to the Stables Wine farm for winetasting and lunch. Was an awesome day-trip.
The week before was Llewellyn's birthday, so we jetted off to Cape Town for a fabulous weekend, taking in the Stellenbosch Wine Festival as well as the Waterfront, staying in the gay village area - in the photos are from top: myself and Llewellyn at the Howick Falls; Llewellyn and myself at the Cape Town Waterfront with Table Mountain in the background; Llewellyn taking a birthday stroll on the cobbled road outside our village apartment; Flowers, Llewellyn and myself in Stellenbosch where much wonderful wine was consumed and friendships made.
