Gay Cruise Athens to Venice

What an awesome time lies ahead as we get set to jet off to Athens for our 10-day gay cruise which takes us from Athens to Rhodes, Mykonos, Kusadasi, Istanbul, Corfu, Split and Venice. As we join 2000 other guys on board the Brilliance of the Seas with our new bodies (mine is not as awesome as my sexy hunk so will only appear behind one of those beach photo boards of bodybuilders...lol) we are sure to have loads of fun.. and plenty of eye candy. Will show you the pics and tell you more on our return... or during the trip if we get a chance to upload some pics.

Llewellyn takes Shape...

This is what Llewellyn has achieved in just under 3-months of twice-a-week personal training sessions with Bruce (see story below) as he and I tried valiantly to shape up for our gay-only cruise. Wow.. eat your heart out guys!!! :-) Dave

Our personal Trainer will beat up yours..

Meet Bruce, our personal trainer who has been trying to beef up our bodies for the all-gay cruise we are going on next week.. see story above. It is so difficult to believe what can be achieved, but after our 3-month gruelling sessions, some measure of success has been achieved. The "proof of the pudding" will be on deck before 2000 other gay cruise mates as we sail among the Greek Isles.... many thanks Bruce.

5FM Blast in Durban

The Durban July races 5fm after-party with DJ Roger Goode was awesome and the place to be. Guests who have been to the Cape J&B Met agree that Durban rocks and party differently to those in Cape Town. We lived up to this reputation last night and party-goers who flew into Durban from around the country vowed to make it a date here again next year. The sunny day at the races turned into a stunning evening and no one was leaving.

Final day Beach Festival

Today is the final day of the Mr Price Pro at Durban's Beach Festival. Our top International Surfing competition on the World circuit hots up when Brasil's Jihad Khodr and Australia's Josh Kerr match up for the final in excellent surf conditions. South Africa's Ricky Basnett (in photo) is not in the finals but is nevertheless proving to be up there as one of our hottest guys in the surf and on the beach. So get on here down to the beach and see the hot bodz!

Stunning Durban July finish

Beautiful Durban weather ensured a 55000 strong crowd turnout to watch Hunting Tower ridden by Anton Marcus romp home in the Durban July - Durban's premier R2,5mil horseracing event held just down the road from our Guesthouse . We dressed up for the occassion in matching cargo pants and a stunning white shirt from YDE with white shoes - a first for us to dress as "twins". We parked our car on the golf course grounds in the centre of the race track early in the morning and then strolled down to the course at lunch time to join the trendy crowds with our other guests and watch the main event.

2010 - Durban races ahead

Durban's new 2010 Stadium for the Soccer World up can be seen under construction in this photo I took from the adjacent Absa Rugby Stadium last week at the Tri-Nations Springboks vs All Blacks clash. The second picture is an artist's impression of the awesome new mega-building which will seat 80 000 spectators. The new stadium will be visible from the roof-top of our http://www.durbanview.co.za guesthouse and will be an exciting addition to Durban's skyline and world-class sports facilities.

Travel South Africa

Being in the hospitality industry and recommending tour destinations to our guests, we like to try some of the destinations and transport ourselves. Llewellyn and I recently jumped on a South African Airways Express turboprop plane to visit East London and really enjoyed the flight and great service onboard. SA airways Express is our national airline's domestic service to smaller destinations within the country, linking them to our inbound airports.

International visitors

Juan (left) and Miguel (right) from Brazil and New York respectively seen with Llewellyn ( Durban View Gay Guesthouse) last week in Durban. Jose' is working in Mocambique for a year and Miguel is about to re-locate to California. Good luck to both of you in your respective fields and thanks for including Durban and our glorious winter sunshine in your tours.

Andrew (middle) had such a great time at Durban's international tourism Indaba last month that he returned to Durban for an extra few days after touring our Province KwaZulu-Natal. Mike (left) from Cape Town joined us too for business in Durban and we all enjoyed drinks and the company in our guesthouse Pub. Guesthouse co-owner Llewellyn is pictured on the right.

Dave gets handy

Dave and Llewellyn are constantly improving facilities at the guesthouse and Dave is seen here installing the safes that have been put into the bedrooms for guests' valuables. Heated towel rails for each bedroom are also in the process of being installed.
