Durban in Winter

Who would believe it is mid-winter here in Durban. Our day temperatures are 25c which is normal for our hot beach city in Winter. No wonder it was the 2010 football world cup city to visit! We're definitely the city to enjoy for stunning weather in South Africa.

Fathers' Day in South Africa

It's Fathers'  Day in South Africa and what a joy it is to be surrounded by such awesome kids. Thank you African savages for making the day so special for us dads. And thanks to the weatherman for the sunny 27c winter's day in Durban  perfect for the beach and beachfront as we bid goodbye to our Netherlands and Japenese visitors and welcome the Nigerian and South Korean fans for the next game here on Tuesday.

In the photos are Llewellyn with his kids Lauren, Calvin and Caitlin, and I am eating ice cream with my daughter Kate-Lynn at uShaka Marine World, having walked the stretch from North Beach to uShaka and buying World Cup caps and bands.

Durban summer in winter

In Durban it's hard to believe it's winter, and us locals get spoilt enjoying summer weather all year. It's Comrades Marathon today but I am stuck inside studying... after so many years I decided to write my Notarial exam so will give you some more pics on this later.  In the meantime enjoy the eye candy here.
